I am deeply honored to have led PT DesktopIP Teknologi Indonesia to secure the First Runner-Up position at the esteemed Awards in the ICT Services category. While this achievement validates our efforts in pioneering the Sovereign Cloud concept through IfVirty, it also underscores nations’ pressing challenges in achieving true digital sovereignty.

This recognition also highlights a critical reality: the road to digital sovereignty is fraught with systemic barriers. Many nations remain tethered to foreign technologies, constrained by opaque cost structures, and vulnerable to external regulatory pressures. The dominance of global tech giants continues to stifle local innovation, creating a dependency that undermines long-term strategic control.


The participation in APICTA was not solely about winning accolades; it was a deliberate effort to provoke a deeper conversation about the structural inequities in the global digital landscape. IfVirty is a step toward addressing these imbalances, but it is only the beginning. True progress will require collective action, policy reforms, and a commitment to fostering homegrown innovation.
