ABOUT

Embracing Tech Invention over Adoption

Drawing on 25+ years of experience in management and technology, my vision is unequivocal: to propel Indonesia into the ranks of the world’s leading technology inventors. This journey has been more than a professional pursuit—it has been a calling to redefine what is possible for the Archipelago, a nation of staggering diversity with plenty of untapped potential, and ensure it stands as a beacon of global technological ingenuity.

ACTIVITY

Bytes of my Journey

My foray into the realm of technology was ignited by an unforeseen twist of fate, a Laboratory Chemical Reactor Automation Job Assignment at Eastman Kodak Company, my first employer, during the pinnacle of their digital transformation. Initially ambivalent toward the field, I gradually became captivated as I navigated its intricacies, driven by an insatiable curiosity to master each new challenge.

I embraced the uncertainty as an opportunity to explore new horizons. This led me to International Business Machines (IBM) Corporation, where I honed my expertise and amplified my influence within the dynamic tech ecosystem. I am deeply cognizant of the privilege I hold as one of a few Indonesians to have worked abroad and risen to a managerial echelon. Such achievements remain rare, as systematic barriers often hinder Indonesians from attaining high-level positions.

The pervasive underestimation of Indonesian talent by the global community, viewing Indonesia merely as a vast market rather than a wellspring of innovation, has long been a source of frustration. This stark reality fueled my decision to leave a comfortable and promising career from a tech company in the US and return to my homeland, the Archipelago, to conduct Research & Development (R&D) and establish my own company.

Returning to Indonesia was not simply a career decision, but a deliberate commitment to contribute to the development of strategic technological capability from within the country itself. I founded a company with a focus on cloud autonomy, driven by the belief that emerging digital economies should not only participate in technological growth, but also possess greater control over the environments supporting their critical operations and data without externally governed infrastructure.

Over time, my perspective expanded beyond cloud ecosystems into the broader landscape of cybersecurity and critical infrastructure resilience. In the market, I observed that as digital systems became more interconnected and data-driven, the complexity of maintaining security, reliability, and operational continuity increased significantly. Many environments are now built on layered dependencies and fragmented, which can be difficult to fully oversee or govern end-to-end. This shift redirected my focus toward strengthening resilience at the foundational layers of digital infrastructure, where system integrity, stability, and long-term operational assurance are ultimately established.
